Try a product called Debrox. You put a few drops in your ear and it breaks up the wax build up. I use it on my son and it works great. You can find this product over the counter at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or at any pharmacy. Good luck.

Q-tips only push and pack more wax down into the ear. You can try one of the ear flush kits available. When I tried it, I got an ear infection and had to go to the doctor.
Bite the bullet, and pay the going rate. See a doctor who will flush it out with that large syringe thing. You'll feel better, and won't get a painful infection.

I happened to escort a patine to an ENT doctor for a simular situation. This is what he said. Never use a Q-Tip it pushes the wax back into the ears. They make tiney little scoops for ear wax. if you cant find one a bobbie pin work just as well. what you need to do is get a little distilled water and the other half hydrogen proxide place a few drops in ear and wait a few seconds before you scoop out

There are earwax cleaning "systems" at your pharmacy..I can't remember the brand but it has medication to put in your ear then a bulb syringe or something like it to flush your ears out..the worse thing to use is a q-tip because it pushes the wash down..but at the same time it give the less damage from other horrible things people dig in their ears with like pencils and pen caps..that scratches the ear and sometimes causes Otits Externa which is a infection to the outer ear..if you are not having much luck cleaning your ears you may need to see your family doctor or ENT doctor for a better exam.

if a q-tip isn't working you should try peroxide poured in you ear and let it sit for a minute and if that doesnt work you need to go to the doctor and then they will use a gun thing that will wash your ear out with hot water.

Pour a capful of peroxide in, let it bubble for up to a minute, then drain onto a towel and clean with q-tips.
