I hope you have fans? Open as many windows are you can and turn on all the fans in your house to keep the hot air at least moving. Once he comes back (I'd call the company and find out where he is--have the dispatcher call him and get his time) and fixes the A/C...close all the windows but leave the fans on and go to the mall until the house cools off.

Drink plenty of cool (not ice cold...even though you want to) water to stay hydrated.

Stay in the shade and try not to over-exert yourself.

Drink LOTs of liquids- especially water.

Hold an iced drink against the left pulse of your wrist: That will cool the blood flowing through there.

Take cool showers.

Wear ice packs and cold towels around your neck and head: It looks funny, but it works! I had to do that a lot before I finally got an AC for my home.

Sit a glass or bowl of icecubes in front of a fan: That makes a great makeshift AC!

And call and find out what's going on with your repairman. It could be that he's having difficulty getting your parts, but he is an hour later getting back to you than he said he would be.

Good luck!

Sometimes it helps to put an ice pack on your wrists. That is only temporary as is taking a hot or cold shower. If gas wasn't so expensive, you could take a ride somewhere. Drink plenty of water or Gatorade to stay hydrated or visit a neighbor.
Good luck and I hope your air conditioner is fixed soon...

Get face towels, wet them, wrap each in saran wrap or ziploc bag, put 3 in the freezer, put one around your neck. In about 30 minutes, get the first one out of the freezer and put it around your neck.

Use the first one to wipe your arms and legs, then rinse it out and put it in the wrapping and put in the freezer. Keep doing this as long as necessary.
