I don't think it matters. I will address this issue later.

In today's world, it is incomprehensible why any Jews would convert to be a Muslim. Many Muslims want to eliminate the state of Israel and exterminate all the Jewish people. What Jew in their right mind would convert to this cult of death (Islam).

Why I think it doesn't really matter.

There are 3.2 Billion Christians on Earth

There are 1.1 Billion Muslims on Earth.

Before WWII there were about 18 Million Jews on Earth. Now there are only 13 Million.

When the Jewish people loose a member it has a far larger impact because Jews are so small in number.

If you normalize the numbers a single Jewish convert is like 250 Christians leaving Christianity at the same time.

I think that Christians today, should study Judaism carefully and if they like it they should convert. That would help build up the Jewish people an possibly atone for past Christian sins against Jews. They would have to give up a belief in Jesus.

A Jew leaving Judaism is a horrible thing for the Jewish people. The only difference between leaving for Islam vs. Christianity is that Judaism considers Islam monotheistic while Christianity is considered polytheisitic (The Trinity). Christianity also attributes a human form to god, while Islam doesn't. So, spiritually, converion to Christianity might be worse.

On an emotional level, Jews might consider conversion to Islam worse due to the current level of persecution of Jews by Muslims. However, throughout history, the tides of persecution have not always been as they are today.

Perhaps it's fair to compare this question to one considering with what method you'd like to see your friend executed.

technically speaking, according to Judaism, a Jew can not leave the faith, so this is really a hypothetical question.
Many of you are correct that they are both wrong, though whilst Christians typically believe in the trinity, muslims are montheistic. Orthodox Jews, according to Maimonidies, are permitted to enter mosques, etc.

I know for fact that during war in Afganistan during 1980's some captured russian soldiers became talibans. And I know that some were jewish. I do not know how it happened, but it did. It is strong religion plus when you are pow you do not have much choise I think. this plus other reasons combined was the reason they became what they are now. And after they became talibans, they had no problems with arab population, even they are jews. Strange world.

Well, from a religious standpoint, islam is closer to judaism than christianity. However, with the current situation, it would be extremely dismaying if a jew converted to islam. Luckily, I don't know any jews who did either.

For a true practicing to "convert" to something else, or even one not practicing for that matter... to the other jews that one is dead... to them literaly... the lost can come back at some later time but would have to go through a lot of mumbo-jumbo to get back in.
