I never actually met them so I can't say for sure. I can figure it this way though, A "belly button" comes from the cord that attaches you to the placenta during development as a "fetus". ( I hate that word. It's a baby, not a fetus) But that's another issue. Adam and Eve were created by God. Not born of woman. Therefore there should be no "belly button". As for the genes.....If God can create a man and woman, why can't he create them complete with all they need for procreation, which was His intent to begin with?

I don't see any confusion. God created Adam from the "ground". He took all the components necessary and "made" a man. When God made Eve, He kind of followed the same route, but, this time, He took a rib of Adam's and molded it into a woman.
In both cases, this male and female were, essentially, prototype models of all humans to come. It wan't until children came along - production models of humans - that a uterus, placenta, and umbilical cord (and, thus, a belly button) were needed.

God is not confused. i'll say that first. Don't you think if there is a God that he smarter, bigger, better than what he created? if he wasn't he wouldn't be worthy to be worshiped! I'm sure he wasn't worried about belly buttons, he could have put a belly button on them and explained that they were the first ones on earth and he created them with his hands and they were multiply the earth and the navals were a part of all that. God doesn't lie and He never will.

They had navels... The bible is more like a metaphore, so only those who dedicate enough time or are worthy can extract its teachings. Treat it accordingly and see it's value... Don't try to take it Ad Literam becuse then you're wasting your time. Adam and Eve stand for mankind in it's early stage (and yes, this means something like an inferior evolutionary stage).

The story of Adam and Eve is a lesson and not a factual event. Such as the symbolisms in Revelations are not factual. Such as Noahs children commiting incest (how did we get here), and they lived to be 500-600 years old. They are lessons not history books.

The Most Ancient Church did not have a belly button. Groups of people don't have just one belly button they have many.

They are just going to say he made them fake ones, just like he planted the tons and tons and tons of evidence showing that the planet isn't a few thousand years old and that evolution is a fact. Apparently he has nothing better to do than to create hoaxes.

Yes, but not for the reason you think. After 3 days of marriage they both attempted Hari Kari--those are the scars.
