Is it better to leave fruit inside the refrigerator or outside of it? Will it rot quicker if you leave it out on the counter?

For the most part, you're better off leaving it out on the counter because refrigeration makes a lot of fruit go bad more quickly (think about it, at what temperature does most fruit grow, room temperature or close to freezing?) Berries of any type are the only exception to the rule I can think of.

Almost all fruit you get from the supermarkets has been gassed to keep it from spoiling longer. Also, it is usually picked before it is ripe, so, if you want ripe fruit, put it in a paper bag in a cupboard for a few days, checking it now and then for ripeness, When it gets to the point you want, put it in the fridge. It will maintain its ripeness for a few days longer when kept below 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Old trick, and an effective one. My family used to pick our apples and store them in the cellar during the winter. We usually had apples until about the middle of February because of the storage.

It really depends. I used to do a lot of cooking, and your answer is, how long do you want the fruit to last? If you want it to ripen faster, then you should leave it outside, but if your planning on saving it up for a couple of days, then I would recommend storing it in the fridge. Bananas, for example, ripen a lot less quickly if they are stored in the fridge. Even though they turn brown in the fridge, they are actually ripening a lot slower.

properly, this form of stuff is fairly 2d fee to feeding a handmade clean weight loss software as a results of fact that is nonetheless processed to a pair degree. in case you think of roughly it - would not it look incorrect that meat does no longer be refrigerated? sure, there is a few thing incorrect with dry nutrition. that is biologically irrelevant nutrition for a carnivore that progressed ingesting uncooked meat. Cooking the crap out of meat and coating it with preservatives so that is left on a shelf for months, in many methods, is fairly plenty some thing incorrect in case you rather look at it objectively.

Depends on the fruit. Apples are better in a sealed bag in the fridge, but avocados are better in a paper bag on the counter. Bananas don't do well in the fridge, but watermelons do.

I leave my fruit out. I just don't like cold fruit, plus chilling takes away alot of the flavor.

I would say the fridge. Being that most states are having a heat wave, the fridge would be the wiser choice.
