I think abortion is only right in one way, that is if the mother and the child are both gonna die. Other ways it is just wrong, if you spread your legs and get pregant then dont want it well you shouldn't of spread your legs in the 1st place. If you get raped and get pregant then give it up for adoption. If the baby is gonna have a diffomation then who cares it is still a human. If you are gonna be the only one dieing during child birth oh well I personally would rather have the baby live than me. Maybe I dont believe in abortion cauz i love little kids, and if I did get raped I would keep the child beacuz I love little children so ya, but I dont understand y people would actually abort their own children that has part of of YOU!!! Well I am just wondering who believes in abortion and who doesnt! And if u do then u better give a real good reason y!!!

Wow, did you really want to know what other people thought about it? It seems like you were taking the opportunity to bash anyone who has sex. You must be one of those anti-pre-marital sex people who think that it's wrong to act of your own volition and that nobody can decide when they really are ready to have sex. Such idiocy. You honestly cannot say what you would do in that kind of situation. My religion tells me that abortion is murder, but let's face it. If you got pregnant and removed the fetus from your body at about 8 weeks, it would not survive. No matter how much nurturing and praying you did, the baby would not live. In the political sense, I believe every woman (EVERY woman) should have the right to choose whether or not she wants to be pregnant. Your statement that if you can spread your legs and get pregnant then you must keep it is completely base. That's like saying that a married couple who never wants children should either be celibate or undergo a procedure to make themselves sterile. I read a book when I was in 4th grade called The Giver. Every time somebody flips out on pro-choice activists, it reminds me of that book, of a society that wants to control every aspect of every citizen's life. It's fine that you are personally against abortion, but the right to choose abortion should still be there. I have no idea if I would ever do that. I hope I wouldn't, but I would rather have a legal abortion and come out of it with just a little menstrual like bleeding than have a back alley abortion that could kill me. SAVE ROE!!!

I think abortion is fine. If you can't afford a kid, abortion is fine. Giving a kid up for adoption is not always a good thing. There are already too many kids up for adoption. In my opinion, when a baby is only a couple of months old, it is only a group of cells. You kill bugs, birds, rodents, dogs, etc. all the time, to make your life better. Why not a group of cells that barely has a heart, brain, and has no feelings or ideas of pain and life, for reasons that will make all of society a better place? And I completely disagree with your opinion on rape victims. Why should a mother go through the pain of giving birth after being raped? I know you are going to criticize my answer like crazy, but it's my opinion. Deal with it.

I believe that a woman should have the right to choose.
It is her body...HOWEVER. Nothing makes me sicker than when women use abortion as a method of birth control.
It also bothers me when women use abortion as the FIRST choice... Abortion should definately be an option but it should never be the first option.
I think having the choice is important....it's like this...does a doctor or a lawyer or the president have the right to tell me that I can't donate my kidney to my mother to save her if I want to?? No they don't and they shouldn't. They also shouldn't have the right to tell me whether or not I have the right to abort a pregnancy.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not some "murdering pro choicer", and personally I think that abortion is abused and its all too often used as a quick fix for women to dumb to take the proper procautions from getting pregnant...but ...I myself am almost 7 months pregnant...and I wouldn't trade my baby for the world...even though, I strongly support the right to have a choice...it's not anyones job to decide for me....and it's no ones right to take my choice away. So abortion wrong or right is not the issue....the freedom to have the choice is the topic...and no one has the right to take anyone's freedom away.

For the most part... I agree with you... but I wouldn't have an abortion if the doctors thought me and the baby were going to die. People prove doctors wrong all the time, and I would make damn sure that I was one of them.
I would however have one if I got pregnant from being raped. Being pregnant is supposed to be a wonderful time for all involved, mom, dad and soon to be born baby. It would not only be an insult to my husband if I were to keep another man's child that was FORCED upon me but it would be unfair to the child as well, because I would always know that he was the product of a person I hated, and would see that everytime I saw him.
But any other time... abortion is wrong. If you don't want to get pregnant then don't have sex. It's that easy.

Yes abortion is wrong in certain circumstances.
I agree if you spread your legs and get pregnant the child is your responsibility and abortion should not even be considered.
BUT.....
If you're raped.... That's a different story. Sure the baby is a part of you but it's also a constant reminder of the loser, a*shole you violated you. You can't say anything about being raped and keeping the child if it hasn't happened to you. You have no clue how you would react to such a situation. You shouldn't judge others either.
What about incest.....again abortion is an option. It would turn my stomach to know I was pregnant by a family member.

I think there are only extreme cases where it should be acceptable. I think abortion is wrong and I am disgusted that it is available for stupid people as a form of birth control. I do think there are cases of incest or other extreme situations where I would have more understanding. In other cases, the child should be considered alive from conception. If you can't get your hands on the 100's of types of birth control or keep your legs closed (or keep it in your pants, guys) you are responsible for the 9 months of growing a baby, then give it to a family that deserves it.

Abortion is a personal decision depending on different factors. I believe everyone has a choice on how they want there life to be and if a woman feels it will hurt here or the child in any way she doesnt have to have the baby. Why bring a baby in this world miserable and have it suffer later on because of your wrong doing. Doesnt make any sense to me.

i didn't believe in abortion until i had mine. i already know that it is wrong but is it right to bring a baby in the world with nothing. is it right to have a child with no father. is it right to raise a baby in a neighborhood where you fear for your life. i thought about all of this. the day i had mine it was the most painful day of my life. not so much physically but emotions where running kinda high. everyone has unquie circumstances and situations. i love children too but at the time i didn't have my life togther so why should i bring an innocent life down. but from all of this i learned 3 things. god is a forgiving god, not to judge people and i am not gonna get pregnant until after i am married.

You are pretty bold to get on here and voice your opinion like you did. I suggest that if you have never been in the position to make this kind of decision before, maybe you should keep your own opinions to yourself. It's a free country, say what you want, but this is a real touchy subject to me. I personally don't believe in abortion for me but I was in the position to consider it. I am glad that I did not do it, and I am ashamed of myself for thinking about it. But, one person's decision does not give you the right to judge anyone. I think if it's not your body, it's not your decision to make for someone else.

You're very judgemental of rape victims. Unless you have been raped yourself, you really don't have any clue how you'd react so don't make assumptions while you sit there nice and safe on your computer. I hope you never have to face such a decision after being put through a horrendous and traumatising experience such as rape but I think if you were, you'd find you weren't so certain of your high and mighty choices when faced with carrying the child of your rapist.
