The Bible is a collection of religious writings. Hundreds of thousands of them have been burnt, thrown away and lost, Its just a Book just like the Quran (Koran) and the Torah..
What would happen . Nothing in this life But Do you know about the next life? All three writings are of the same God !

Depends on whose around. The Bible, Koran, Torah etc. are all symbols of most peoples deep seated emotions and ideologies. The same thing that would if you burn the flag we "worship".
If I saw you and I thought I could get away with it without going to jail.....I'd beat your disrespectful axx. Not because you burned any of these objects but just because of your lack of respect for your fellow man.

Most likely, nothing will "happen to you", if by that you are expecting some kind of immediate chastisement from God. God does not behave like men do. He loves all men and women, even those who hate Him. You would be doing more harm to your own soul than to God if you burned the Sacred Scriptures. The question is therefore not "What would God do to me" but rather "What would I be doing to myself". God condemns no man. It is man who condemns himself by refusing His Creator.

It'll burn the outside, but mostly just char it. To effectively burn it, you'd have to rip the pages out first in order to allow air between the pages.

well if you are holding it, you will get singed or burnt. if you are trying to prove a point or get rid of it, it won't be very effective. the bible has been a very long time and a person with a match won't dispose of it's significance.
