There's a couple of things that could be affecting your skin. It could be the water....call the city water department and ask them if there has been any changes in the chemicals they are putting in it. It could also just be summer. We've had an extremely warm summer and dry skin has become a big problem. Have you cleaned your tub with a detergent recently that you may not have gotten completely rinsed out good. Try using soaps with as little perfume as possible. Lots of people are allergic to perfumes. Same applies to lotions. Change your razor. Don't use the same one that you were using at the time you started having this problem. If all else fails, see your doctor.

It could be the water is too hot.
However, go and speak to your doctor. I have urticaria and was itching the whole time until I started popping antihistamines! (and for the smart alecs out there, urticaria is itching of an unknown origin. I am not allergic to anything that can be tested for! When I scratch, I end up with red weals, rather than white ones that scratching gives normal people).
If it was water you were allergic to, you would know about it (or wouldn't - because you would be dead!) - but it is worth checking that it is nothing else. I don't want to worry you but my grandmother suffered from itching legs and it turned out the problem was circulation and she ended up having a leg amputated.
So, in conclusion, you are not allergic to water but you should check things out with your doctor if turning the temperature down does not cure it.

Hi i have read a story in a magazine about a women who couldnt even let a drop of water touch her as it would set of an allergic reaction on her skin, but that was on her whole body, it could be anything and it could even be something on your sponge try changeing it to a new one, But i would recommend going to the doctors and telling him as you could have something wrong with your skin and water brings it out, Try using bottled water on your legs and see if it happens again. But see a doctor as soon as possible.

Not impossible.
Most likely it's something in the water, like Chlorine.
A lot of people are bothered by this. You can buy filters which will remove the chlorine and make the water purer. Your problem should go away.
If you want to test it first try washing your face or a leg with bottled water or filtered water. I think boiling water then letting it cool removes chlorine. Try washing yourself with that. I think it would be interesting if you posted back to tell us the result if you decide to do that.

Do you get a tingling feeling on the inside of you thighs and the outside of your calves. Does this only happen with warm water? If you walk for about 30 minutes briskly you may get the same reaction...it's possibly caused by the heat of the water, affects people more if they are tall, overweight, unfit, or anxious, and I can't remember the name of it but it's a listed symptom 0.<

the best way to treat allergic reactions is with benadryl. It will stop the mast cell production which allows the reaction. It will make you sleepy but it is the best answer for itching and any allergic reaction. It can be taken by mouth easily.

It is possible to be allergic to water, but i wouldn't know if you were. Maybe the water is to harsh and you might need a water softener. ask a water company(like Culligan) about those.

Could it be the soap powder or fabric conditioner you are using to wash your towels - assuming you dry your legs after showering?
