Yes there is a process called cellophaning hair which adds incredible shine, volume and strength to your hair. You can do it yourself by purchasing a product called JAZZING at your local beauty supply. It comes in clear and also other slightly tinted colors. Costs around $8. You apply it to dry hair, place a plastic cap on, sit under a dryer or position the blow dryer to your head for 20 min. or more. Lasts about 6 weeks. It is amazing!

In the summer, the humidity weights your hair down. Try to avoid using too much "product", because mousse, gel and spray just get heavier and sticky when the weather is hot and humid. Also, you perspire, and your body oils weight your hair down. Keep your hair clean, keep the style simple, and try to stay cool! Also, try rinsing it with diluted vinegar (if you're a brunette) or lemon juice (if you're a blonde) after you wash it. This will cut oils, and help restore the shine.

I would go to a drug store and look at all the shampoos/conditioners on revitalizing hair... usually the cheaper ones and the REALLY expensive ones don't work to well so get the ones that are like $3.00 or $4.00...use them both for a week or so and if nothing happens then go to a cosmetologist near you and ask what you can do for your type of hair.... Hope It Helps!!!

Maybe dead ends... so get a stylish, chic new haircut-- short and layered, this will definitely keep you cool and comfy! Long hair in the summer can be a drag!
To make it shiny, use a good shampoo and conditioner.
Don't blow dry it, just let it dry naturally!
Good luck, girl!
