Come on! These women are adults, so they should be treated as such, instead like children who have to ask for someone else's permission before making a decision or worse, like chattel.

There's another amazing things I've found. Some so called conservative women, like Ann Coulter, will proclaim how they don't believe in women's right...but its for other women not them! Amazingly, I;ve seen so many of these conservative types expecting other women to be subservient while they are more aggressive than any bull dyke I've ever seen. Or, the other thing is for them to act in a subservient way with men (like Laura Bush) while they are scheming behind his back and AGAIN act aggressive and even hostile toward other women...worse than any bull dyke I've ever seen.
There are many varieties of these kind of morans..I've actually considered writing a book about it.
We need to start realizing we are all human and respect each other equally.

Wow! You have a strange understanding of what it means to be submissive. Do you know that the Bible teaches that not only should wives submit to their husbands but that husbands should love their wives as they love their own bodies? (that leaves out women becoming "chattel") This comes in context of the passage that says believers should "submit to one another." We (both men and women) are also told to think of others more highly than we think of ourselves.

That some people have not practiced these principles very well is not surprising. But when a wife, willingly sets aside her own agenda and lets her husband lead, and when that husband willingly sets aside his selfish interests and loves his wife "as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for it" marriage can be very sweet and wonderful indeed.

Submission does not mean slavery or blind obedience. A wise husband will listen to his wife's input and feelings. I do not ask my husband about every thing as to what I may do. I do allow him to lead our family. When two try to lead you often end up pulled in two directions. There is more peace, harmony, and happiness when there is one main leader. But, if something is important to me I may take a stand. This is like the government. There is a president and congress. One checks the other but only one is considered the leader.

Peace Be With You,

If you read the entire section of scripture in Ephesians 5, you will learn that husbands and wives are to submit to one another. The biggest lie in modern society is that love is give & take. Love is give. There is no take. But if both spouses are giving to each other there is no need to take. That's the main reason divorce is so prevalent today - everyone is more interested in taking rather than giving - especially giving sacrificially. Forget about what you "need" - give what you have to your spouse and (s)he will give back to you. That's love and the way marriages are intended to be.

I love my girlfriend and we don't have this problem hehehe I believe that we are born gay but things like that are why I think some strait women give up on men. 90% of the world's religions were written by men and that is why they are so bias towards men. So in the end it really doesn't matter what the bible says about who was created in who's image because its all bias text written by men to give men power, why the hell do you think they wrote it that way. Men are egotistical and power hungry.

SOMETIMES, it's ok for a woman to be submissive. I know that sometimes I enjoy it. BUT...I won't be submissive if I disagree on something. I'm a partner in a relationship and my opinions have just as much right to be heard and discussed. That's my view on things, at least.

Sometimes submission is fun. ;o>

Overall, I agree. They are equal, man/wife. Women shouldn't be treated as less than the man based on gender. (So what if you can pee standing up?)

As for God making man in his image... that dude needs to read Genesis again. It says he made man and woman together. (There are 2 stories in Genesis... nice of you to pick the one that supports your ideas.) ^_^

Not all women want to.For some, they do it because they think it's the right thing to do.Others do it as a means of survival.

its a respect thing. God made MAN in his Image...then god made WOMAN in the image of MAN> woman should also be respected but culturally and traditionally the MAN is the head of the household.
