Well, if the dog ate it whole, you need to call a vet and see if there is any chance that the tiny bones could get lodged in its intestines. You also need to look in the dogs mouth and make sure that it doesn't have any feathers in there that could poke his/her throat or put tiny cuts in its mouth. Just keep an eye on your dog and make sure it dont get sick. Oher than that there is not much you can do, it;s in the dogs nature to eat small prey.

eh, your dog will be FINE. my dog always catches birds every now and then, first to play with then to eat.
I used to have a rooster in my backyard once, about 7 years ago, my old dog decided to play with the rooster, when I came home from school the same day, i found feathers, some bones all over the floor, yes my dog ate the rooster. SAD at first, but FUnNY after I realized how happy the dog was... :)

all in all....

it is not bad for your dog to eat a bird, its perfectly A-OK.
just think of it as a HEALTHY MEAL for your dog, lol, the BEST meal your dog will have ate in a while

:)

this is very upsetting...but your dog will be ok. as horrible as it sounds my aunt (aka the white trash of the family) often fed her dog chicken bones. this is very dangerous as the intestines in a dog are relatively thin. the bones could put a hole in any intestine and kill the dog from the inside out. needless to say it took quite a few years of this abuse to kill her dogs. but the bones in a smaller bird are hollow and break very easily. i wouldn't worry. but if it would make you feel better, you could take him/her to the vet for x-rays (which will cost you quite a lot of $) good luck.

Nothing, your dog will be fine. If your dog was wild instead of tame it would eat things like small animals and birds all the time.

Relax. Dogs have been eating birds for centuries. They are equipped to handle the digestion of it, and your dog will be just fine.

It's gross, but i don't think it will hurt the dog. before we came along and domesticated them, i bet dogs ate birds....i'm sure ur dog will be fine. just watch him/her and make sure they do not get sick or anything...if they do, take them to the vet right away. but i am sure your dog will be fine.

keep an eye on your dog to see if it starts showing any unusual signs. If so, take him to the vet.
