You find a couple of other people who are comfortable praying out loud and assign them to either praying in the middle or at the end. Before you open in prayer let those know who are in your group that if they feel led to pray out loud to do so but if not that is okay. This is where it will be nice to have one or two people already lined up to pray so you don't have to worry that no one os praying.
Another way is pray going around in a circle, you start and who ever is to your right will be the closer. If they those in the circle don't want to pray out loud have them say "Amen" so the person beside them will know it is their turn.
I hope this helps you out. These 2 ways have worked for me when I have had to lead a group in prayer.

I don't know if there is a best way to lead a prayer group. However the leader should keep the group focused and be attentive to the needs of the people. There can be a time of praying for personal needs then perhaps a time to pray for world missions.
If you are leading the group, pray ahead of time for direction.

When I taught Sunday School I would sometimes have us stand up in a circle and hold hands. I would have the person on the right of me start and keep going for whoever else wanted to pray. When it got back to me, I would close with a prayer.

Pray from the heart. Sit in a circle and take turns. If someone feels uncomfortable, they should be able to say, "pass."
Some people have difficulty with this. Tell them to think about one line. If they can do this, it will open up the dam.
Be aware that some people will try to control or be "preachy."
Perhaps you could invite suggestions to use as ground rules.

Well you can go by this ask anyone if they are in need of prayer. And that should get the ball rolling. Than you can ask God to watch over everyone while they are going back home, and make it safe to be back the next time you have your church services.

Never back down from it. The Spirit will give you the words to speak and use you and your mouth to speak them. I know this from experience. I was terrified when I was asked to lead the opening or closing prayer, but the Spirit always gets me through.

One thing that we've done in youth groups, small groups, etc. is to hold hands and pray one person at a time going around the circle. If someone doesn't want to pray, they squeeze the hand of the person sitting next to them, so they know it's their time to pray.

No more need for any groupy praying amiss at night, for the groupy prayer already prayed also got answered already:
Our Father, deliver us from evil: Mt 6.
We are delivered from the law: Rom 7.
What remains is global awareness of it.
The "grace" of our Lord Jesus->Christ with you->all. Amen.

Get a pad take request then state each one let anyone in room that wants to pray for that one to do so one at a time. Then move to next request and do same. Till you go through them all. This will allow the spirit to move.

Just like saying your prayers. Bless the people or food and thank god and all that good stuff. Make it sound good and important. Praying is a very good thing and not something to goof around with it! Good luck :)
