Someone I care for dearly needs to be healed and isn't able to fast themselves, so, if I do it in their steed will it still work, and what kind of fast would be appropriate for healing? Please, mature christians who believe in healing only.

Definitely. Your faith in Christ can help your friend to be healed, in whatever way God finds it necessary. I think it's a very Christian thing to do for you to fast for your friend.

Of course you can. We all could use some help from each other. I am a Christian.

Nah, it won't give the same results. You'll be hungry instead of your loved one being sick and hungry. Very different results.
