We have weight watchers at work. The concept is fairly simple: they assign points to food and allow you to eat a certain amount of points per day.
They also have group meetings so that you get support from other people who want to lose weight as well.
In essence, they've made the calorie counting a lot easier. They also don't restrict any foods. So if you want a piece of chocolate cake, you can have it, so long as you keep within your point quota for the day.
They also allow you to eat extra "points" if you exercise.
I've seen a lot of people lose weight with this program. To me, it is sensible and allows people to make lifelong, healthy food choices without resorting to a fad / exclusive diet plan.
Good luck.

The latest program I have is based on a points calculation system. It has to do with how many calories, fat, and other contents are in the food item. Each food is assigned a point value and you eat what you want, within the parameters of the daily points you are allowed (depends on your weight). It is an easy diet to follow since you get to make your choices, and it works! My best friend and her mom each lost 100 pounds in a year following this diet!

First of all weight watchers is a PAYING club so you should decide to spend some money joining the club rather than trying to steal what took a great many people a lot of time and money to develop. Instead of eating like a pig go to weightwatchers and learn properly.

They have 2 different programs..the points system..and the core... the points..depending on your weight..you get so many a week..and you count everything you eat..and when you reached your goal for the day..you dont eat any more... then the core.. alows you to eat as much of certain foods as you want...so lets say... all the veggies, fruits, cetain meats...etc..you want.. (which is the one I did..and loved it- I am not a points person). With the core..you also get an extra 35 points to use for the week..so you can still allow yourself to eat some of the things not on your list... Its probably the best thing out there..because it teaches you how to eat right...

Current thinking is that you should drink around 80 ounces of water a day, in addition to whatever else you drink. Note that so long as it has no sugar or caffiene in it, it can be called water.
At least five servings of fruit and vegetables per day--of about a half-cup each. Lettuce and celery you can have in abundance, so long as you're stingy with the dressing. Also green beans.
Also, you want to stick to low-fat meats, preferably roasted or baked--4-6 ounces at a time.
Most importantly, you want to steer clear of stuff with more than 5-8 sugars.
