you can purchase do-it-yourself bleaches at the drugstore. you'll need a towel, bowl, scissors, gloves, and a timer. cut open the bleach packet, pour into bowl wearing gloves. add the liquid developer to the bowl and mix as the combination becomes pasty. spread across your hair by hand. wear the plastic cap in the package to increase heat - this makes the bleach work better. follow the directions on the back of the box for how much time you'll need depending on the color.

I just have to tell you DONT DO IT! I bleached my hair a long time ago, I had beautiful red curly locks (of course I didn't think that at the time). In the end my hair ended up losing all its pigment and now its natural color is a weird charcoal like grayish brown. I now have to dye my hair back to its original color. It is a nightmare. Not only can you severely damage your coloring but you could severely damage your hair period. In the end, trust me, it is not worth it!

And remember you aren't just bleaching it, dying alone hurts your hair imagine what it could do if you did both?

Im telling you from personal experiance, dont. It will fry your hair. Bleaching causes alot of damage, but coloring doesnt..idk why though, lol. I have dark brown hair now, well i got purple put into it lol, but i love brown hair, Keep it that way, but if you do bleach it, be sure to lighten you eyebrows, cause nothing looks stranger, than a blond with dark heavy eyebrows! lol

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BLEACH YOUR HAIR AT HOME IT IS VERY HARD PROCESS IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

IF YOU HAIR IS LONG THAN YOU WILL NEED TO ONLY PUT THE BLEACH AT THE ENDS FIRST, IT TAKES HEAT FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY, IF YOU PUT IT ON YOUR SCALP AND THEN APPLY TO ENDS THE HAIR AT THE SCALP WILL PROCESS BEFORE THE ENDS BECAUSE YOU HAVE MORE BODY HEAT ON YOU SCALP THAN AT THE ENDS OF YOUR HAIR.

PLEASE IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS LET A PROFFESIONAL DO IT.IF YOU DID NOT LIKE THE ANSWER THE PRO GAVE YOU GO ASK ANOTHER, CONSULTS ARE USUALLY FREE.

IF THERE IS A PRICE ISSUE BEAUTY SCHOOLS ARE A CHEAPER WAY TO GO, THEY MAY BE IN TRAINING BUT THEY DO HAVE SUPERVISION FROM WELL QUALIFIED TEACHERS.

GOOD LUCK

try loreol colors because they have many colors. Hair bleach does damage your hair so i don't recommend it. But you get a powder bleach pack. Get some peroxide i think 2%. mix in bowl. use something like a perm brush and wait to it lightens. after you are finish dye the color you want to and the use a neutralizing shampoo to wash your hair and a conditiner.

Youd use a bleaching agent, then a blond dye.. since your hair was brown, ask them to use a little "blue" dye.. its the old lady silver so it strips the corn statch yellow out and blends into a more platinum or honey look.. i have dark brown hair and when i used to go blond thats how they did it at Tre Semme'

Bleaching your hair takes a lot of upkeep! Your roots will grow quickly making you have a dark streak down the middle of your head! Don't mean to sound so cruel but I've done it and will never again. I like my dark brown hir now!

Get a bleaching kit at like walmart and it is almost like dying it. Actually it pretty much is the same as dying it. Or u can go to a salon but it is cheaper to by the stuff at walmart but better quiality at the salon.

I used to and when I go from my dark color back to bleached I use a total color remover which is in a white box and you can get it from wal-mart.
