Are you familiar with the five languages of love?
Whether you’re a spouse, a parent, or a single, the five love languages are the same:
1. Words of Affirmation
2. Receiving Gifts
3. Quality Time
4. Acts of Service
5. Physical Touch
She may like gifts, but if one of her love languages is something else. I guarantee she will enjoy what ever you do for her a lot more.

A lot depends on how long you've been dating her. Has it been less than a year? A nice flower arrangement, preferably geared toward her favorite color, would be good (DON'T do a dozen roses -- that's what you get your wife for Valentine's Day after you're married). Been with her for over a year and the relationship is serious? Jewelry is always good, and you don't have to go spend a fortune either -- you can get a gold chain with a medallion or earrings as opposed to a ring or a tennis bracelet, but if you can, personalize a jewelry gift by getting an item (or items) with her birthstone. Somewhere in the middle, or don't have a lot of money to spend on jewelry? Get her a spa package that includes a massage, facial, and whatever other spoil-her goodies you think she might like. Whatever you do, make the gift JUST FOR HER -- don't make it a gift the two of you are supposed to share, otherwise it won't be as special. Good luck!

depends on the girl.
if she is a romantic, get her flowers.
if she is edgy, and aventuristic, do something crazy.. like take her out bungey jumping.
if she is a sports fiend, get her tickets to a game.
if she is a music fiend.. get her backstage tickets to a hot concert of an artist she loves.
the best gift you can give a girl, is prob something from the heart.. no matter what the price is.. it will be priceless.

Get her something meaningful just to show her you care. Like her favorite childhood book or osmehting. Tickets to a concert or a show maybe? It really depends on how long the relationship is. Jewelry won't hurt either.

I think the best thing to buy for your girlfriend is something that reminds her of you or your love for each other...such as a necklace or bracelet with a heart, or a symbol of your love. It could be a heart box, or to little doves, etc. It does not have to be expensive. Flowers, perfume, candy, etc do not last forever.

A massage. Usually the best gifts cost nothing but time. Hey if you like to write, create a poem for her.

What's the occasion? How long have you been dating? What are her interests?
A little more information would help... :-)
