Dont get the KIA they are not worth all the trouble I got a kia and stuck paying for it now well we put a tranny in it the engine light comes on for no good reason have to replace brakes every 2 or 3 months cause they always go bad or they break into pieces cause my husband took the brakes off ours and the were broke and were just flopping around so please dont buy a kia they are terrible and also my kia get about 18 miles per gallon if I am lucky but my husbands s10 get 30 mpg that is why I want him to fix up my little ranger pick up that I got we still owe on the kia 4,000 dollars and it is not even worth 400 dollars so you see dont buy a kia

Well the Corolla has a proven track record in terms of reliability. On the other hand, I think Toyota charges a bit of a premium for its nameplate these days, and Kia tends to discount their prices a bit in a bid to gain market share. Then too, Kia offers a pretty substantial warranty on its cars--as I recall 10 years or 100,000 miles, which is subtantially better than Toyota's warranty. One final consideration, depending upon how long you intend to keep the car, is that Toyota has a generally strong resale value across all of its models, so statistically speaking, you are likely not to see it depreciate as much--but of course that only matters if you do not intend to run it until it drops dead.

Don't even think about a kia. My dealership serviced them and we had to stop because lack of parts and good service from the suppliers. And believe me, you will need service because they are not a good investment. I have a Toyota myself and since 2004 I have never had to take it to warranty.
