I have tried the obvious kenwood website but I can't find the instructions for that particular make.

Or can someone tell me how to a) store radio stations into the preset buttons
b) how I can get the radio / CD player to come on automatically when the car starts rather than being on standby

Alpine is a great system nearly all alpines are great systems. However Circuit city has taken them off their shelves lately cause they are not that friendly of a company to work with anymore. Alpine is comparable to kenwood, which is one of the best car stereo manufacturers ever! Jensen is a lux name for lightning audio (aka crap)! Jensens highs overpower their lows which sounds quite crappy. Alpine and kenwood have been around for years kicking butt in nearly every audio competition. Even their entry level stereo system is gonna be better than one of the best jensen has to offer. You should also check the Kenwood or Alpine specs, most of them play MP3 formats now which will allow you nearly 200 songs on 1 CD.....eliminating the need for a CD changer. To sum it up....Jensen - crap ( i made the mistake of buying one) Kenwood - have one now and love it, especially their high powered pre-outs, Alpine - also had and loved, however after two years the light burned out behind the buttons and the warranty was out. Oh and by the way alpine speakers top all three brands, their type R's are killer!!!!!!
