Write good, well thought out answers. You will have better chance of getting a "best answer" than if you just leave random, short answers all over to keep gaining a 2 here and there.

Answer questions (2 points), ask questions (I think it is 5 points),
vote for best answers on other peoples questions (1point) I think when you vote for best answer to your own question you get more than 1 point. And if get best answer to a question you can get 1 to 10 points depending on what the person who ask the question thinks of your answer, how informative it was or how funny depending on the question. When you ask a question, choose a best answer a day later (you'll be returned three points). Answer questions; get 2 points; rate questions; 1 points. Ask questions, -5 points.

answer alot of questions to get 2 points and if the answers are really good you might get rated best answer which will give you two points. also you could rate already resolved questions. Hope i helped!!
