If god was bumming me for spare change, I'd fail. But if he needed me to hold a door open or pick up something he dropped, I'd pass!

YES! With flying colors, I have attached a true story I wrote after such a test!
The Old Man
I noticed his worn out clothes, no shoes were on his feet. The second time I saw his eyes they told me he'd been beat. What finally got the best of him and turned him to the street didn't really cross my mind when I gave him food to eat.
His dirty face and long Grey hair covered up his eyes, and through each hungry bite of food he made me realize. Sometimes life is so unkind and cruel to the meek that everyday they only feel the power of defeat.
They finally loose the strength to fight or something steals their fire. The only thing that's left of them is a shell without desire. They drift from place to lonely place the earth continues to spin, never once just slowing down to see the mess they're in.
I gave to him the same regard I'd give to any man realizing that his death was sure if I didn't make a plan. The winter air was colder and his clothes not warm enough, he wouldn't live through the night the cold was just to tough.
He wanted me to leave him alone, he thanked me for my time, I saw the ambulance I'd called I prayed that he would be fine. I never found out what became of him after that cold cold night. I always hoped the choice I made for him turned out alright.

There are strangers in need everywhere. Look around you. This is God presenting you with chances to help and love another as you love Him. Even in the church, I see people who are prospering financially, and they seem to turn their backs on people in need. I used to do this, but it is contrary to the teachings of Christ. If you see someone in need, do something to help. You may be able to help them buy food during a rough time. What if you didn't go to Starbuck's for a week, or get your nails done, or buy yourself a new shirt, or some other vanity item? If you don't look around you, you think you don't have to see. Does that mean that the need does not exist? No, it only means you don't want to see it.

I try to help everyone that I can no matter what I believe in. It's good Karma. I like to help out others, it gives me a good feeling to know that I can give someone else what they don't have. Sometimes I give more than I really should or can. So I guess that I would say that I would pass the test but then again . . . you would have to know me to really believe that I am like this.

Id like to think that Id pass. I try to help out if anyone needs anything. I've picked up people walking in the rain, or the minumin handed them an umbrella from my car... I always give change to beggars, anything I can do to make someones hardship easier,,, thats the goal.

In Islam, it is very important to do good deeds, they are considered blessings on the doer. I, not ascribing to any religion, think that it is a very good idea and have adopted it into my way of being. If the need were genuine, I would help in any way I could.

I always help those in need. I am an Atheist, I don't need a belief in god to tell me what is right and what is wrong.

I truly think I'd pass... God has given me an abundance of compassion and generosity, so when I see a homeless person (even if they may be lying about it) I give them money, and if i see a charity, i donate... it feels good to do good for others...

I certainly would... I have made it a principle in my life to actively help and in my opinion it's better to be cheated an used a thousand times rather than turn away one person who really needed my help...
