It can help a bit to keep you from just munching or grazing...so if part of your weight issue is because you nibble or snack a lot, then chewing gum may help in that area, because it'll help keep you from consuming at least some of those additional calories you might have...
Beyond that, it's not really much of a weight loss helper...

The only way I would think it would help was if your thinkink of eating something. Instead of grabbing food right away, Stick a piece of sugarless gum in your mouth. It will keep your mouth busy. Also I chew ice. It keeps my mouth busy and it is full of empty calories cause all it is is frozen water.

Sure. If it keeps you from putting food in your mouth. It's similar to brushing your teeth early in the evening to avoid snacking. Get a sugar-free gum. Water is another good appetite suppressant, and actually has value in hydration, cleansing your system, etc., but if gum works for you, use it.

Just the opposite. You chew gum, and salivate, which tells your stomach food is coming. Then, you disappoint it! No good.
Try Power-Pops with Hoodia instead. The hoodia will suppress your appetite.

no actually chewing gum aids in stomach problems because as you chew you are ingesting air which leads to stomach cramps, irritable bowel syndrome, and yes gas.

If it is sugar free and keeps you from consuming your normal calorie intake, yes it can. Otherwise, no.
