If you honestly, to your core, thought you were a good Christian, thought you understood everything in the Bible and tried to follow God's/Jesus's ways... and then died and found out that actually you were going to Hell, how would you feel? What would be your reaction?

If there is any person who only "thinks" he's going to heaven, rather than "knowing" that he's going to heaven, has never truly been "saved" in the first place. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that a person can "know" without a doubt that he's going to heaven or not, by whether or not if that person has "Christ" indwelling them by the Holy Spirit, or not. If a person is honestly "saved", he or she "knows" Christ on a very Personal and intimate basis because the Holy Spirit literally "indwells" that person if truly saved. And any person that IS truly saved, "KNOWS" Christ PERSONALLY, because Christ is IN that person. If you have the Holy Spirit within you, there is NO DOUBT about your eternal "destiny", because you "know" Christ "Personally". You can't KNOW Christ, and NOT know Him. If Christ is IN you, then you KNOW that when you die you will be present with Christ in the Heavens. It is only if you DON'T know Him, that a person has "doubt" about their eternal destiny. And YOU can know Him too. By simply believing in and trusting Christ as your Personal Saviour. This isn't "corny"...it's just the plain and simple TRUTH.

The old concepts of heaven and hell are childish notions used to manipulate the masses through promises of reward and fear of punishment.

God is not vengeful, angry, demanding or jealous. He is after all - God - what could He possibly be vengeful, angry, demanding or jealous about? He will not send you to some place of everlasting torment due to your failure to abide by some arbitrary list of rules.

God is all powerful and all loving. He cares for each and every minute particle of His creation and He promises that nobody will be left behind on the path of returning to Him.

God is the greatest source of love and joy in creation. Therefore the only hell that exists is being separated from God, which is where you are now. We are each on a journey back to God through learning the ways of love and compassion, some of us just take a bit longer to learn than others.

The idea that in this vast cosmic ocean of creation, that took 14.5 billion years to reach this point, you are given 70-80 years of life to obey 10 commandements, many of which don't make any sense at all, then are sent to eternal reward or eternal punishment based on the decision of a judgemental diety is silly.

You ARE here for a purpose, but that's not it.

You'd be dead, so I doubt you would have much of a reaction. And I seriously doubt that you would have time to sit there and think about it. You'd probably just wake up and find yourself in hell and immediately start suffering in the black and fiery place of eternal torment for the damned.

The real question is if God is All Powerful and All knowing then he created you Knowing he would send you to Hell. Doesn't sound like a very nice God.

It's not about feelings...salvation is all about faith....has nothing to do with feelings.

When you're dead, there is no more faith...you will bow before God. Again, feelings are irrelevant.

If you choose to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and have a repentant heartt, Jesus is faithfull...you will be saved. To question this as with your question leads one to assume your premise is possible. It is not. You either choose to have faith, or you choose not to have faith. The outcomes of each are certain...and it has nothing to do with feelings...and everything to do with choices.

in all seriousness, pretty pissed off, could you imagine...all you your life you've spent being a certain...denying yourself certain pleasures and having to keep a certain path, all for what? makes you question if God really is listening to you or even if he cares.

There are no gods, no heaven, no hell, and no afterlife.

Stop wasting your time on this.
