Just for fun- best complaint gets 10 points!
I am planning a wedding and I haven't even be doing it that long.... but it's completely getting on my nerves... Everything is soo expesive and people are so nuts when it comes to wedding stuff. I wanna nice small wedding but if I hear one more bride talk about well it's only $100 a head, or my gown was only $5,000- I am going to barf. Am I the only person paying for there own wedding?? LOL
Come on Anti Brides- What your biggest complaint or What do you HATE about wedding!!??

I hate how whenever you go in somewhere to look at wedding stuff, they are all over you, trying to get you to buy the most expensive thing. I hate how all this wedding stuff is SOOO expensive. I hate how most wedding stuff is foo fooey.. All lacy and frilly.
I also hate how the bride is expected to choose everything, and the groom just sits back and doesnt deal with any of it. Its very overwhelming at times. I hate how they have soooo much wedding stuff to pick from too. All the way down to the minut detail!

I wouldn't call myself an "anti bride," but my fiance and I are planning and paying for the wedding ourselves too. One tip I learned was (especially flowers) when possible, don't tell anyone it's for a wedding. When they hear "wedding" the price automatically goes up. We too are having a small wedding, but it's still going to be hard to stick to the $10,000 budget we've set for ourselves. One of my only complaints is my maid of honor: she's very opinionated (just like a lot of people on here) and tries to put her "two cents" in when it's not her decision to make. I don't mind constructive criticism, but her's is far from constructive. I was even trying to be open with the bridesmaids dresses: I'll pick the color and they can each pick their own dress (not being traditional). But even that wasn't good enough, makes me almost want to pick the most hideous dress just for her (but I love her anyway, so I won't).
So my complaint: people's opinions on what I should do for MY wedding, when they aren't paying for it.

I wish I could give you a complaint, but I had a small budget, and we paid for most of it on our own (my mom paid for my gown, accessories and lots of other things). I did the Vegas thing, and we got a package deal with the hotel, and then just chose the menus and everything with the hotel fo the reception. The biggest thing I planned was music, souveniers, and working with the bridal party -- and even that I left up to them.. I only chose the color. They did the rest ;)

What I hate most is how much the vendors charge for their services. If you don't know any better you'll get ripped off! People hear "wedding" and immediately want to overcharge you. I also hate people and their damn opinions "you should do this" or " that's too much, I wouldn't pay that much" Especially coming from people that aren't forkin over a damn penny but think things should be their way!

We are also paying for our own wedding. It's not so bad...I mean I'm still getting things that I want but watching the money too...and as for those dresses that cost $5 grand...they must have fallen on their head..because there's just no way...my dress was $500 but it was well spent...a big pet peeve of mine is when other's try and tell you how to plan, do things in your own wedding...I understand suggestions, but if I want to walk down the aisle with bright a$$ orange/pink flowers during the fall, I'm going to do it....it's my wedding....(I'm really not having bright flowers for my fall wedding-haha)..but that's an example...and my fiance' has a big family and everyone is trying to tell me to line up his brothers in order of age...HELL NO...if I want them in height order, that's how I'm going to have it...I was raised to be very respectful to your elders, but lately, I've been telling them what I feel and not holding back...haha!...did I get my 10 points...HAHA!

Addressing invitations number one! I made my own to save $$ (I am footing the bill for my big day too), and now thinking it wasn’t worth the pain. After assembling and tying all those little bows, now I have to address 175 envelopes, double not so fun.
