Heaven is not something easily attained. Jesus' apostles were rewarded with heavenly life, but look what they went through as his followers. They were thrown in prison, beaten, and persected constantly thoughout their ministry. They remained faithful until death. The Bible says that "faith without works is dead." So a person must be more than just good to be rewarded life in heaven. There are many people who may be lead a good and respectable life, but they do not believe in God. So not all good people go to heaven.
Did you know that hell will soon be gone forever? The Bible makes it clear in Revelation that hell is the common grave of mankind and Jesus has the keys to hell in order to resurrect all those who have died and gone there__" And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire--So death will be no more and hell will be no more for without death, hell ( or graves) will not be needed.
( Revelation 20: 13,14) Revelation 1:18 states: " I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I (Jesus) am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." So this tells us that those brought back to life who were in hell(the grave) will then be judged by how they respond to God's rulership. God's Word assures us that once we die, our sins are wiped out; "For the wages of sin is death--" Romans 6:23 __Yes,when a person dies, they have paid for all sins. By resurrecting those who have died, they are given a second chance to prove their loyalty to God and to his Son,our reigning King.

In the Gospel Jesus tells a story of a beggar and a rich man who lived near each other. The beggar went to heaven and the rich man went to hell. In the story...the rich man begged the beggar for water to quench his incredible thirst. And Jesus replied that there was a barrier which neither could cross. But the both clearly recognized each other.
The book of revelation describes the scene pretty vividly...you will definitely be held accountable. Don't let most of the trash you're getting here...Christianity is very real...it's not a fairy tale...the Bible says very clearly that if you do not share the Gospel with your friends then you will be held responsible, but if you do bear witness then you will not be held responsible...you are to then shake the dust from your feet. I couldn't tell you what it is going to feel like...honestly we're not going to know until it happens...
the statement below should pay more attention to the same passage..."...or do you not know that you will judge the angel's..." there is a different between discerning between good and evil...Jesus gave us a very clear guideline on how to get to heaven in John 3:16...he also said that if you don't live up to this standard...you aren't getting in. Period. It's not judging someone to say that don't meet that requirement if the don't believe. It's discernment.

Revelation says that the books were opened and judgement was given unto the saints. I believe we will not have our memories wiped because that's apart of what makes us who we are. However, it is practical to believe that if you are going to live for eternity there will come a point when you will not be thinking so much of the past but enjoy eternity.
Sinners will not burn in hell forever and we who are going to heaven will not feel the punnishment of the wicked. Everyone will have his reward and face his own judgement I cannot feel anyone's pain but I can sympathize and hurt on my own.

The Bible says that there will be no tears in Heaven. That means that you won't feel pain or hurt so I don't believe that you will remember your friends once you get there. And although someone else DIDN'T put it very nicely, try to talk with your friends. Maybe they're needing someone to explain salvation to them. All you can do is try your best. Then let God do the rest.

If your statement is true, then yes, you will remember your friends, and you will know forever that they are burning in hell... are you going to be ok with that? That doesn't sound very Christian of you.
I'm willing to bet you are just as wrong as you think THEY are.
Isn't it refreshing to KNOW that you are going to heaven and millions of other people will be roasting in the pits of hell for eternity just becuase they made up their own minds and used reality as a guide on how to live their life? Ah! it feels sooo good to know that God uses all of his might and wisdom to torture people forever who don't join his club.

in response to the 'judge not as ye shall be judged' answer a few entries above, that was Jesus' teaching for interpersonal contact. It was not meant to forbid judgement in a court of law, nor a war between nations or religion, nor was it meant to exclude a final judgement by God at the end of days.
anyway, the original question: according to Jesus, I would think you would not remember them if they were in Hell, or you would gladly forget them. A guy once married the wife of his deceased brother. he then asked Jesus if she would be his wife in heaven, or if she would be the wife of his brother while in heaven. The Bible says:
==============================================
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Matthew 22: 29-30
==============================================
These days (if I'm not mistaken), the Catholic Church no longer requires Christianity as a prerequisite for entry to heaven. I think that was enacted during the 1960's at Vatican II. Your mormon friends may be in heaven with you, but that isn't really my call.

First what is the "true faith"? Second there is NO HEAVEN AND NO HELL. You and your actions are judged in real time...here and now by society/those around you. Live your life in peace, respecting others and the environment and you'll be just fine. I implore you to check out WWW.UUA.ORG and learn a bit about life with out the invisible risk of HELL and the invisible reward of HEAVEN!

It really takes a great deal of sin to get to hell.
Maybe your friends won't go to hell..
and will just be with you in heaven!

No, you will not remember them. If they go to hell, they will be destroyed. End of story. There is no "burning forever in the fiery pit". God loves all his children , but those who will not obey him will be destroyed because they cannot be allowed in the pressance of the Most Holy .
In their condition, spending eternity in the pressance of God's glory would be torture to them. God is not cruel.

Well if you go by the bible, "judge not as ye shall be judged" I guess after that statement, you will be right next to them in hell. That isnt your call weather or not your friends go to hell or not. So how do you know?

You're not going to Heaven because you let your friends go to Hell. Be a better friend from now on. I mean DAMN!
