If you mean whipping their *** then yes. Lebonan can't do jack **** to Isreal besides launch rockets. And rockets can only do so much compared to a full scale invasion against Lebanon by Isreal.

I think Israel has tried very hard to perform surgical strikes against terrorist targets and not Lebanese civilian targets. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has indiscriminately launched rockets into northern Israel without a care of where they land.
Yes, I would say Israel is being more than reasonable when dealing with Lebanon. Let's not forget that the Lebanese government has members of Hezbollah in it. Why don't the Lebanese people do something about that?

Well part of the Lebanese government is Hezbollah and Hezbollah is allowed by the Lebanese government to be armed and the Lebanese government doesn't venture into the south (against Hezbollah) to assert their Lebanese sovereignty...so I have to say Yes, Israel is doing right by the Lebanese government.

I feel bad for the innocent civilians that are getting killed but I attribute this more to Hezbollah's hiding among the civilians as a way to avoid be attacked by Israel.

Israel is not after Lebanon but Hezbollah. If Lebanon would put military as well governmental pressure on Hezbollah to return the Israeli soldiers and vacate their country, Israel would then quit their assault on Lebanon.Lebanon was warned years ago this would happen if they allowed Hezbollah to grow and carry out their terrorist activity within the Lebanese boarders.I hate Lebanon is being reduced to rubble and their infrastructure is collapsing , but until the Lebanese quit blaming Israel and go after Hezbollah,who started all this, things will probably not change.

What Israel is doing to Lebanon is about as right as what the Nazis did to Europe.

I wonder what kind of lopsided view is being presented in the US media that so many people think Israel's behaviour is "reasonable". Two Israeli soldiers caught INSIDE Lebanon (what were they doing there anyway?) and in return Israel practically launches war on an entire country, killing hundreds of civilians. I guess your media hasn't been showing you those pictures of the little dead children?

Why Beirut (the capital of lebanon) which has nothing to do with the conflicts in south of the country should be bombarded?

Israel was attacked by Hezbollah from Lebanon. If Lebanon doesn't want to disarm the Hezbollah militants, Israel will destroy them.

Israel isn't the bad guy here. They withdrew forces from Lebanon in 2000 and Gaza last year. They did everything the peace talks told them too. Now they are still getting attacked. Peace can't be made with terrorists who say Israel must be destroyed.

Bottom line is this: With no oil in the region, Truman would have NEVER recognized Israel. Israel is the 51st state in a region that holds no value aside from politics and non-secular issues. On the 10th day of this conflict, Syria/Iran will step in to level the playing field and wipe Israel off the face of the Earth.
