it should be able to schedule tasks over the network - tasks include windows update, defrag, a/v scans, spybot s&d, disk cleanup, backup etc. etc. all systems are windows xp (sp2) based

try www.cnet.com or www.zdnet.com both are legitimate software houses they will have a range of products to choose from, from free, to free to try trials

Task scheduler can do even this - type \\machinename in Start | Run, and you'll see that task scheduler is one of any windows computer's share attributes...
