The existence of God is not based on whether or not bad things happen in the world. And, the cause of bad things happening in the world does not depend on whether God exists. Bad things happen in the world because the human race has not, is not, and never will be, capable of ruling itself in the fairest and best way. Our love is too restricted: we do not have enough love or compassion to go around to everyone in the world. So, we are the cause of bad things happening in the world. God has given us freewill, to choose between doing good and doing bad. Even God's angels have that choice. We would need something supernatural to give us enough love and compassion for all humankind, to be able to stop the bad things happening. That would be what some call Holy Spirit. Yet, unfortunately, that will never happen. until the universe as we know it no longer exists.

Your question presupposes that if God were truly Good, and all-powerful, then He would not allow "bad things" to happen. That position is not an obvious one. For example, perhaps there is a "greater good" that arises out of bad things, a good that is not immediately apparent to us finite beings.
Also, consider the alternative... a world in which evil does not exist. Sounds perfect, right? But, for example, how valuable to us would the love of a close family member be if they had no choice in the matter?
Obviously with more space we could go into more detail, but these are the beginnings of some possible answers.

Well, you have to consider what is bad, what is good, what is simply what we think. We don't KNOW everything in the world. What seems bad and horrible to us, may actually be for the better of the world, or the universe, etc. All things God does is good. People do "bad" things. But then the question is, why does God let people to "bad" things.
The truth is that we really don't know what is bad for the world/universe and what is good for the world/universe. We do, however, know what is bad for us to do and what is good for us to do. This is important because we have free will, but other than that free will, there is nothing that we are in control of. Everything is God's will. And God does ONLY good. But this good is in terms of the world, while our good is in terms of our situation or our perception which is supplied by simple lack of knowledge.
We may view something as bad, but that bad is bad for us. Like when we say someone does something bad, we are really saying that someone is doing something bad that we shouldn't do or that we should fight against. Then in turn because we see something "bad" we are inspired to fight against it, so we alog with others that see something "bad" make an organization that helps to spread knowledge and fight this bad action. In the end that bad thing inspired us to do something sooo good. So in the end it becomes something good for the world.
This also demonstrates that the worst thing that occurs is when "good" people do nothing to fight against "bad" things.

Because people aren't naturally good. The problem started when Adam and Eve left the safe haven of God, this was based on sin. Once that happen, the world has gone it's own path. You shouldn't blame all the bad in the world on God, He can control it, but we have chosen this path. It's like saying, why didn't God stop that dude from slapping me. It's not God's fault, it's the person that hit you.

When God created us he created us with free will, the ability to or not to choose to do good or evil. If he stepped in everytime to prevent an evil thought...then the concept of free will wouldn't exist.
Why would God create something that is capable of such distruction? As capable as we are of distruction and evil...we are equally capable of the opposite...good. Consider for a second...if you had the choice between a robot puppy who is programmed to love you and real puppy who doesn't have to love you...it has a choice to infact hate you. Which would be more valuable to you? The puppy that has no choice? Or the puppy that chooses to love you? Think about how you feel when someone chooses to do something for you...that they didn't have to do...I believe that's why god created us this way. Bad things happen simply b/c he gave us the ability to choose...to do good or do evil...and bad things happen when people choose to do evil.

God will not control the very essence of man, his free will that God gave him. People need to understand when you have a fee will it is not given then taken back. God would that all would live in harmony but Satan on the other hand would prefer the annihilation of the human race, that which God made to glorify Him. Paul said it best in his teachings: Know you not that you do not fight against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities of the air..

I agree your question, but tell me; if there is a Doctor why there are yet sick people? It is the same matter to "if god exsists why does a lot bad things happen?"
People are sick due to diseases and lot of bad things happen due to lot of sins. Got me?

God knows what's going to happen in the future. For those who are little children go to heaven, for those who r older and don't want God, go to the horrible place... God gives people many chances, but not all accept those chances... so this is what happens.
