Perhaps we are trying to determine the connection people have to their spiritual beliefs, particularly when those beliefs fly in the face of reason. Perhaps we are trying to understand. Perhaps we are seeking answers and want to know if you've found them yet. Perhaps we want to understand what can cause people to abandon thought for the words their spiritual leader has given them as his or her interpretation of the Holy Word.

Just maybe. . .

Because your question appeared in the "Open Questions" section as well.

And I'm not fighting with you. But I'm not buying anything you're offering, either.

If religion fills a need for you, great. Just don't try to ram it down my throat, and don't try to change the rules of whatever country you live in to match your religion's beliefs. Ask yourself - would you be happy (or even able to) following jewish dietary law, or the koran's laws on punishment, or being the 3rd or 4th wife of a mormon man? (Yes, I know the mainstream mormons no longer practice polygamy. Tell that to the splinter groups)

This section is Religion and Spirituality.

Spirituality doesn't required people to believe in the One God. Buddhism is an example of that.

Are some person here just to fight every body who doesn't think as they do? Yes (in both camp). But some of us really want to share our believe in an higher spirit (call it God or the Universe, if you wish).

Since God is everywhere, he is with people who don't belive in his existence, too. Maybe it is that flicker of light that you call hunger that draw people to the kind of subjects listed here.

I believe in God. Perhaps not as you do but belief none the less. You do not have dominion over this part of the Yahoo, it's free for all to express their thoughts and opinions. I hope this has helped answer your question.

FYI. Not the religion section. It is the religion and spirituality section. If Christians did not want atheists on this site, they would not ask questions to atheists. Some of us want to know more about the religions, not to be converted, but to learn. If you do not like atheist comments, you don't have to read them. I like to have fun with the religious, and educate them. Christians try to convert me, so I do the same, and try to stop people from wasting their Sundays. My personal favorite is freedom of speech.

I only go to 'Home' for questions.. not in the categories... so I see all the questions. It's nice to see a variety of questions instead of just a bunch of questions about Sandwiches, or Sports, or Jesus.

Just so you know...this question popped up on the long list of all questions on the home page...I did not go to the religion/spirituality section to find it...so your question was flawed. I merely answered it because of your antagonistic tone, and I felt inclined to correct your arrogance.

Are we hungry? Why are you providing a buffet lunch or something?

By the way, we'll go wherever the hell we want. Thank you.
