Lots of ways, depending on how high you wanna get:

Climb to the top of the Sears Tower
Get on an aeroplane and travel anywhere in the world
Go on a hot air balloon ride
Go skydiving, although with this one you get high then crash soon after
Climb Mount Everest
Pay one million dollars for a rocketship ride to outerspace.

I would guess that commercial flights from, say, the US to Japan or Hong Kong fly at the highest altitudes, since they are traveling so far. On a shorter flight it probably doesn't make as much sense to go really high just to come down relatively quickly.
