Tough to say. I thought about it for a while.
Garlic is more used and more flexible and goes with everything.
Ginger is probably tastier, but is not flexible and does not with nearly as many things.

I love both and they both have such a different taste and smell. I think I might go with ginger being tastier just cause of my mood right now!!!

It's totally different. Garlic jazzes up certain dishes that ginger could never jazz up and vice versa. Both are delicious alone. Mmmm...

ginger isn't used as much as garlic...i love the taste..especially in "pepper steak".....look it up you may like it.....healthwise garlic is VERY good for you......

ginger leaves no bad smell on your breath, and it is reallllly yummy with chicken, pork, beef. not so much fish though. maybe just because i have never tried it.
