My hair is long enough for me to sit on it, I don't really want to cut it right now because I grew it for so long...but I'm starting to get sick of my plait/ high ponytail and I can't really wear it down too long because it gets tangly easily. Thanks for your help!

Well...I'd suggest getting a trim. You said you grew it for so long and all, a trim to snip off split ends that might have developed through time would do a lot of good :)
Other than that, I think theres a lot of stuff you can do to your hair. Get a ceramic hair straightener (lucky you! its easy to straighten the back part too!) as well as a curling iron and maybe even a crimper too if you want lots of handy quickie options. Go get a french haircomb and beautiful hair accesories. Headbands are in! Oh, and get scarves too, and a fancy-looking metal hairstick. You can play around with them until you get your own hairstyle (made without instructions of course). Oh, and get the VO5 hot oil treatment to do during the weekend (the have those big tub to do in showers, could use sparingly since I dont think the small tube would work for you). Get a good shampoo: Aveda Purefume or John Frieda.

There aren't alot of styles for super-long hair, moslty because long hair is heavy and hard to keep pinned up. I'd suggest straightening it and just trying out some styles you find in a magazine. My favorite is to take my bangs and the hair up to two inches behind it, tease it so it's like a hill and secure it with bobby pins. I then pull the rest of my hair into a mid-high ponytail and sometimes I braid it. It's hard to expain, though.
My hair is about to my waist right now, and it used to be alot longer, so I kind of understand your plight.

i'd suggest a bun.... one fixed up pretty high.......looks very suave and 'pretty in a cool sort of way'....try it --- trust me it'll look good.
and remember , if u have a high forehead DONT make a very tight one ---- will have a disastrous effect --- will accentuate it all the more -- and that usually looks pretty terrible ;; at least so far as i've seen... keep the crest a bit on the loose side ---- should look pretty good.....

When my hair was past my butt, i try all different type of styles,
1) Divided it in two horizontal tie the top and fine plat the top an bottom. or curl the whole thing.

Cut as Deep layers or Deep u it looks very nice ,i have long hair too in summer Up do is very comfortable for me.. i hope this helps u..

you can do to low pick tails or leave it down curl it that is so pretty i have long hair and when i curled i got lot of complements grl thats what you should go with !!!!

put loads of layers and lowlights.make it seems volimunous and sexy with TIGI bed head.They work
