I had a great friend who decided to end his life this way last week. I am having a hard time with dealing with this and am trying to find some kind of closure. Just thought if I knew more maybe I could let go.

Well, if you are serious and you really need to feel closure, I would go to rotten.com
On that site they have many disgusting, revolting pictures. One of them is a suicide with a shotgun to the head.
It is extremely graphic and I would NOT do this unless you absolutely need to. Really.
I hope you get some counseling and help that you need after this tragic event. I'm sorry for your loss.

Ugly. Messy. Depending on the caliber used, it will also cause varying degrees of disfigurement.
That said, there's probably better ways of trying to find closure than imagining his hollowed out head.

I had a friend in high school who did the same thing. Her funeral was closed-casket, as it completely destroyed the back of her head and face. She was then cremated. While I did not get to see the damage done, I can only imagine that it basically blows up the back of your head, which absorbs the force of the gunfire. I am sorry to hear about your friend, and am sorry that he felt so alone in life.

i know people do it in the mouth so they wont feel any thing and its quick i just don't under stand why they must take there live away when there are so many people that can help them.
