This is more geared toward the girls cause I know all the guys don't care (J/K) But I hear a lot of girls say I would NEVER date a black guy or any other guy outside their race- I know parental influences have a lot to do with it but there has to be more to it than that. Please share your thoughts...

I'm black and I am frequently attracted to guys of other races. A good looking guy is a good looking guy no matter what the race is. However, I'm not sure I could have a relationship w/ someone who isn't black (They would have to be a minority at least- but it's still far fetched). I'd feel like I'm betraying my race and I feel the same way when I see couples sometimes who are mixed race. It has a lot to do with love of my people and of course closed mindedness.

Why does it matter what race you are? Is love particular or discriminating? As long as you can work out your differences and compromise, you have the same chances of succeeding in your relationship as anyone else. And as for the person who thinks that interracial couples are rare in the U.S., you need to get out more or open your eyes. It's other countries that aren't as mixed as ours. If you can find a loving partner, savor it, you're lucky!

i think yeah it is mostly about how you are raised and what part of the coutry you are in ( the deep south sure frowns on it) but as an army brat i was exposed to it all and i dont see anything wrong with it .. we are all human and need love
