I think that 8 is a little too young especially since chemicals on a young child can effect the way their hair grows later or the texture. But it's a good idea to let her express herself at ayoung age to help her develop a healthy self esteem. May I suggest that when she gets a little older like 12 or 13 you allow her to dye her hair with water based syes that wash out and don't have chemicals in them.

The first time i dyed my hair was 13. I think that was a good age. My 12 year old sister wants to dye her hair, but we wont let her. I think dying it all the way this young is okay. I dyed from brown to red, and its just not that big of a deal.
