I am about 10 months away from turning 21 and got carded last time in Vegas, but we have a Native American Casino that you only have to be 18 to gamble at which is about 2 hours away.

I've been going there for about 2 years and I have done well on occassion. If you're not winning don't just feed the machine money, move to a different one.

Indian casinos are known to be very tight. I would stay away. If your state has legal gambling at age 18, then you are old enough to play online. If you want higher payouts, look at a site like http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/payout-percentages.html which ranks online casinos by payout percentage. Jeffin made some good points about Native American gaming and you should listen to him... stay away!

If you don't want to play online, hold out for Las Vegas. 10 months is not that long of a time to wait.

On slot machines, the odds are pretty lousy.

The federal law is that the Indian casinos cannot have worse odds than legally allowed by Nevada and New Jersey state law.
Currently, that's a 75% payback.

But, in a Nevada casino, you'll find 2-3 set for 75%, most set for 90-93%, and a few set for 98%, in an indian casino, you'll find most set for 75-80%, and a few set for 90-93% paybacks.

It seems to to be same as any other kind of casinos....I have learned this because I have basically gambled all casinos in the midwest to the east coast and a couple of times in Las Vegas...Still have to try California yet....Which Native American Casino are you talking about ???

I've seen the financials on a couple of these "indian casinos". Trust me, the odds can't be that good. On average they are netting anywhere from 700k to 1.5 million a month! These are just the Card Houses, no slot machines.

Go, play for fun but don't play to win.

believe it or not my mother is what i call a professional gambler and she goes to alt., shreveport, vegas and the reservations in oklahoma and she wins a lot more at the reservation casinos than any of the others COMBINED, no joke we were at one and had been there not even 5 minutes and she had just sat down to play her machine when they called her name and she won 2 thousand bucks, they have a players card there and hers was in the machine at the right time for an entry into a drawing, and they do lots of them, and she really won, she also hit a big 10 and 20 thous pot, so try your luck, i think they pay more out to draw more people in since they dont offer free booze like the real casinos do

Crappy, just like they are in Vegas. Games are designed for them to make money, not you. If you want to gamble get a bunch of friends together and host a poker game. At least that way one of you goes home a winner, and not the casino.

odds of winning always depend on the game you are playing black jack, craps, and bacharah have the best of with the odds slightly in favor of the casino > .1 % and games like keno, roulette and the slot machines. are heavily favored towards the casino. but the worse the odds the better the payoff.

Believe it or not, I've played the one penny machines (the one with free 10 or so spins) betting max and I usually win something back. Ofcourse I only put in $20 or so and come back home with atleast $100 or so (if I go home and don't give it back to the slot machine), But its fun though....

Same odds of winning in Vegas...not very good. Stick to the nickel slots.
