Where on earth were you? These prices are absolutely ridiculous! Did you not check the prices on the menu/bill of fare before you ordered them?
If you are in the UK, don't buy sandwiches! The prices are ridiculous in most outlets.I would say that two slices of bread equals 10p. I can buy enough beef (top rump) to roast and cut to make 20 sandwiches for five quid (ergo 25p a slice), and that is from a supermarket - not discounted catering suppliers. ( I'm a chef). As for lettuce, onions, tomatoes etc, the prices are negligible. Therefore, no sandwich should cost more than £ 1.50, and that is allowing a generous preparation cost and profit margin.
If you need to eat in the UK, go to a pub, or better still, go to a Greek/Italian/Indian restaurant. You will get a much better meal that will satisfy you for longer. Or get fish and chips, or have an all-day breakfast at a "caff". Should not cost more than four quid per head.

so thats £3.75 a go?.. well depends on the quality of the bread and ham, was it cut ham or processed? Did you have drinks? How far away from any other food places was it?
They probably have to cover overheads, and might not get many visitors.
If the above is partly the case, then I dont think that is too expensive. Next time, buy one for the girls to share, and if they want more, by another. Better than wasting money & food.

15 pounds runs about 30 dollars. That is 7:50 per sandwhich. For a plain sandwhich, I would say it is a bit high, but what can you do. Ask up front next time I guess

Yes, you were ripped off, especially if the perosn was operating a business from premises that weren't covered by health & hygiene standards.

Next time take your own home-made sandwiches with you when you go out. They're much cheaper and more delicious.
