12 oz beer = 150 calories
12 oz lite beer = 110 calories
5 oz wine = 90 calories
1 1/2 oz liquor = 90 calories (with 6 oz carbonated drink mix add another 75 calories)

Alcohol is immediately converted to sugar... it's like drinking Kool-Aid with extra sugar. Empty calories, unless you count the buzz as worth it. You will gain weight if you are not exercising. Some alcohol has less calories. Beer is not your best friend as far as weight loss goes.
