Right more than you think FOR SURE. WAY more have tried it & don't regularly, but I"d bet $$ that there is a "pot smoker" in AT LEAST 1 in every 5 homes. Statistics are out there, but think about how many ppl never get caught or admit to it while answereing a survey... In my town I know a judge's wife that somkes, while her husband prosecutes people for doiing what his own wife does in their home! Plus their children smoke.....

i used to think it was like the same number as the number of homosexual people in the US -- not the same people, but about as many in either category

since i never did illegal drugs, and since i had a pretty sheltered upbringing (i've always been straight), i thought there was only about 300 homosexual people in the US and that they were almost all in San Francisco.

then i went to college (in Mississippi) and fell in love with a woman that was married to another woman (VERY long story, but they had matching inscribed rings, etc.); i suddenly realized my whole view of the world was very wrong.

i later met people in church that claimed to have previously done pot and even other illegal drugs -- and i've met guys that claim to have repented and reformed from homosexuality.

i'm not passing judgment on ANY of those people, but merely commenting that in every case, those people had been parts of VERY HUGE communities of which i had been blissfully unaware.

so, now i'm thinking that there are probably tens of millions of pot smokers, and probably tens of millions of homosexuals in the USA -- and pretty much the corresponding percentages in any other nation.

I would say with confidence about 38% of Americans do. 70% would like to try it or have tried it. Then you have the Anal people from the extreme right who say it's satans weed.
