From March until July.....the services were NEVER PAID....not once! On several occasions I literally begged her to please pay them...and he swore she would.....She moves in with me and her sister/ my roommate. leaving her home and I tell her she has 2 months to pay the remaining balance and that I was cutting the services off (didnt tell her when).again she tells me yes this would be no problem....One day she just ups and leaves....packs her stuff and goes and tell us she is moving in with her Other sister...

She actually Moved back into the home where the services were on.....and only called me to tell me the Electric guy was out there cutting off the services....I'm LIKE WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING THERE!!!

So she ask me would I put them Back on in my name
I call and they say the deposit to turn them back on was $600.00 for that location Plus the $517......I told her $300.

And never cut them back on.....she at this point now wants to come fighting me LOL

What would you do?

Well initially...my bill was $171...she paid that to get them on....Never paying again..Now the House is a 4 bedroom brick home where the utilities would range from $200 montly to $250.....

She Makes well over $3000 a month....No phone bill no Internet Bill...And hasnt paid her rent ($875) properly casue she was over here with us for like 3 weeks...

Am I going crazy....she was gonna squat on those lights without telling me nothing...and raise the bill even higher!...

In my eyes we are even....she paid the better half of $200 and she's leaving me with the better half of $200

I just was sneaky in getting it LOL

Rule #1. . . never loan money to friends or family. . . you'll only be disappointed in the outcome. Cut your losses and go on with your life.

I was in the same situation with my niece and her husband. Only they moved into the apartment that I was moving out of so I kept all utilities in my name so that they wouldn't have to put down the deposit. When they moved out, the utility companies finally located me and handed me the bills. I eventually paid them off and called it good knowing that I would never get the money from my niece. I have basically vowed never to help them out again, of course, I had said that once before when I had a car in my name that they were paying on, blew the engine and quit paying. To say the least, I got stuck with paying that off and then donating it. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever learn.

Hell no, don't cut the electric back on for her. I wouldn't put anything in my name for her. I'd laugh at her too if she wanted to come and fight. Just don't count on seeing any money from what she owes you.

Sue her for the back bills, get your utility credit back to par and let her be responsible for her own cost of living.

Not being rude, but I would've never done that for her in the first place. She's getting free utilities, and you're just ruining your credit.
