Probably not. Usually the cut-off is in August or September. At 4, your son is probably not quite ready for Kindergarten. Let him wait another year. if he is really raring to go to school, enroll him in Pre-Kindergarten.

No, the only way you can put a 4 year old in K-5 is if he will be 5 on or before Dec. 2, of the year you are putting him in school. Sometimes you can take a placement test to see if the child is ready for kindergarten but not very often. My advice would be go to your school district and ask.

The school system probably has a cut off date at the end of September. I started Kindergarten at the age of four but turned five at the end of September. Whether he is ready or not is what you should be worried about. My mom is a preschool teacher and she says that if you want to start a girl early, go for it, but you should probably wait with boys because they are naturally not ready. You should also take into account that when he gets to be my age (15) that he will be a considerable amount younger than his peers when it comes to driving and graduating and he may not like that. On the other hand, I started early and am at the top of my class academically and do not mind being younger than my friends.

That depends on the school system. Since his birthday isn't until May, that might be a little too young. Some schools make the children take a test to see if they are ready for school. They look at their social skills and previous knowledge to make sure they can successfully function in a classroom. If your son is advanced and you really push for it, your school may be more likely to consider him.

Depends on the schools policies at our school they have to 5 by sept. 1 of that school year. If he won't be 5 untill may of next year I would say he is too young. Maybe try a preschool or headstart program.

In California, the child must turn 5 by Dec 1. Many teachers feel that it is still too young and they are lobbying to have the children be 5 before school starts.

The school system will not allow your child to attend Kindergarten until he is 5 years old. It is academically and socially unsound to submit a 4 years to a 5 years old K curriculum. Children need to time to mature. Send your child to pre K and don't rush. I am sure your child will do great!

Do they have a Pre-K program? Many schools do. If not, just ask them. Thee might be an advanced placement test. My granddaughter goes to a private school and she will be taking an AP test - she's 3 1/2.
