as long as they're not carry-on luggage, I don't see why they can't take their knives on a plane.

I think they have to check them. I tried to bring a pair of poultry shears which were wrapped for a gift in my carry on and I had to check them, and this was way before 9-11.

I think they would....I used to travel with mine on the subway ( back in the early 80's though). They probably have to be checked and not carried on.

Not in their carry-on luggage. But they can be placed in the luggage that is checked and carried in the luggage compartment.

I assume that they ship them ahead to their destination. That is, if they absolutely MUST use their own knives.

do they?may be they ll keep them in baggage. they dont carry with them into da plane
