First you have to get a licensed kitchen then start giving out samples to gourmet bakeries, coffee shops, gift shops, etc. Also start a website and market the site (I do this for a living if you need advise on website optimization), offer gift baskets, on-line orders, etc.. Good luck!

First find an original name for the cookies
maybe your mom in laws first name eg "Dianes Devily Good Cookies
Second I would patten them
Then find a place that would hand out samples but i wouldnt take them to a bakery because they would be competing with other baked goods and you want your cookies to be the one in the spotlight..try food shows, your office, etc
Make sure to include all the ingredients clearly,,,alot of ppl have food alergies.
Then get rich!
Hope this helps
good luck!!

:o)

Try packaging 2 or 4 cookies in clear, food safe bags and take them to local businesses. Be sure to bring LOTS of samples. A small coffee house would be a good place to start.

I don't know about that.... I'm just wishing MY mother-in-law knew how to bake!!

Oh, you know... you could start your own bakery from your house... start by sending out samples to local businesses and neighbors and stuff with pamphlets that tell about your cookies, prices and contact info....

start giving it as a gift to friends, office mates, classmates, neighbors. if they liked it, they'll ask where you got it - that's when you start buying packages for orders. each order also gives you opportunity to include a piece/sample of new baked products you want to market.

The coffee house idea is a great idea. You could go to a cheap quick printer to make some labels for you.... make sure you've got a name for it.
