I have noticed just in my life that two guys I were going steady with broke up with me via email.I was going steady with the guys at different periods of my life. Both of these guys wrote me a email saying they were going to leave me I personaly find it very rude to do this by email as well as inpersonal as well. But, I read an article that it was happening more and more often now a days. My question is it a new style or new thing to break up with your significant other via email? Why is this happening more and more in our society?

Could be happing more, but still is the "Fraidy Cat" way. A person that had ever/does care about you will tell you to your face and why...because they care about you and want you to grow as a person.

Cop outs only would do it via an e-mail...if they do that, they were never worth it from the start! If they do it to you, they will do it to someone else.

I don't know why people would break up with others via email. I guess they don't have the audacity to break up with them online. Another reason would be that I guess some men don't feel like they can get a word in with a chatty girlfriend. They say all they need to say at once without tears and interruption. However, that does get girls more pissed off so I hope these guys are prepared for that.

It's the cowards way out really, but the reason why it's popular is because you don't get into a shouting match. Your not uncomfortable in the other persons place and if the other party responds you can delete their message without even looking at it. It's cruel really.

i don't know if its a trend at all. anyway, it's a coward ways out. if this is indeed what is happening these days, then the men are degrading in morals and ethics.
