Because they are ignorant and closed minded. Any relationship can be successful if based on respect, love and trust... and a lot of hard work!

Basically, because they are afraid of the unknown. They feel safe with others of the same culture and do not want to venture out plus they also envy those that do enter into a interracial relationship. People like to talk no matter what.

I'm Black and Veitnamese, my fiancee is Irish.....I think anything can work if you want it to.....Why would you care what other people say...there are the same amount of people who think interracial couples will work, and won't just find out where you fit in, and have confidence in the love you choose for yourself.........I have always dated outside my race...it's great to know that you have someone who's not your race love you the way they would love thier own

No matter what religion or lifestyle one is should not matter Love is love and I feel great about it! I really don't mind interracial dating. I think its beautiful when people can express their feelings and not bow to the status que placed on us by society. People forget the culture of America and so it seems, there isn't what they would describe a "problem" with this situation, They choose not to address it, well the "problem" is people being color blind, to the specifics of the word, BLIND TO THE COLORS AROUND YOU. They are unwilling to accept them and hence they are not there or you are blind to them. I don't believe in color blindness, its ignorance, it needs to change, be aware of the wondrous variety around you and accept it. I Think its extremely interesting to learn about other people's ways of life. I think its really sad that people of any race can simply 'dis' others because they are of any color.

Do they really work out? I would like to know. The ones that I have seen have not worked out or lasted long. I don't know if it's the pressure of society or what. But I hoping that they do work out since I'm thinking about dating outside of my race.

its not beening prejudice,
its cultures and beliefs and sometimes people do not like learning about things about the other cultures,
my older sister married a man of a different couture and they had a baby but the marriage did not last , so its always a good thing but then it might have last to .
