No, I don't think it is the key to happiness. Relationships with other people are the key, having love and life around you. All money can do is give you more opportunity to enjoy material items, entertainment, and ease the burden that relates to stress and bills. Happiness is fulfillment, and every person is different. Some receive happiness from helping others, some from having that one special person in their life, for others, children.

Happiness is different for different people. For me, it's the ability to surround oneself with pleasant things to hear, see, taste, smell, and think. I love to have a wide water view from my window and have a big yard for my pup to run around in and a man whom I love and return the affection, seasr nice clothes, be able to give my kids, when I have them, all the opportunities available, drive nice car, etc. (listing done without regard to the order of importance). For most of these, money is an important factor.
I see many young people saying that "all they need is love," but that only lasts maybe a year or two. After that the reality sets in, and they do get into fight and even split up based on something that money can solve.

No money alone can't buy happiness. If that were true, I think the rich and famous would probably lead fairly boring lives! Money can buy a sense of security (as far as material living), but I believe true happiness is found when one is comfortable in their own skin and is at peace with themselves. When one is truly happy both inside and out, it shows.

I hate using cliche's, but the whole "money can't buy you happiness" one comes to mind right now. Money alone can't make you happy because you could have all of the money in the world but without friendship, family, and love do you think someone can honestly be happy? I believe happiness is when you're surrounded by people you love and they love you back and you're completely at peace with yourself and your surroundings.

I believ happiness is being content with your state of mind and your physical presence for a long place in time. You need to be able to appreciate the world around you as a factor in your happiness/contentment. Money can simulate happiness but true happiness comes from being with those you care for(and vice-versa) and doing what you love. You need to first be at peace for this to satisfy you.

no money alone doesn't ensure happiness but happiness means different things to different people. for one person happiness could be owning a mansion and an olympic sized pool, so for that they would need money.

well I know that if I had a lot of money I sure would be a lot happier! But it couldn't keep me happy forever, I'd still miss out on parties and friends! But..if I had lots of money and could keep my daughter and fiance then awesome! We'd be living in a house instead of an apartment, driving nicer cars, wearing clothes that are not 3 years old and stuff! I have a nice car and a few nice things, but we could have everything nice! It sure would be a luxury!

To your first question, another question. Do you think Christie Brinkley is happy now? In case you don't listen to any news, she is now divorcing again. She has money, and a cheating husband.
Money can certainly pave the way to make things easier, but happiness comes from inside.

Money has its benefits but something so concrete could never purchase something as intangible as happiness.
