My ex keeps calling me and I cannot get up the courage to tell him that i have a new boyfriend. How can I break the news to him without hurting his feelings?

Yes, but it will be a difficult thing.. you just have to be honest and tell him that while you appreciate his desire to stay in contact with you.... that you have started seeing someone else.... and that you hope that he can understand your desire to move on and be happy that you wish the same for him.

You should take the courage to tell him that you do not love him anymore and that you have moved on with your life and that you have a new boyfriend in your life and that there is no place for him anymore. you cannot do this without hurting his feelings but by being honest he will know that it's all over and that he doesn't have to try to have you back again. If he doesn't change and he keeps calling you it might be better to change your phone number.
It's clear to me that you still have warm feelings for him else you wouldn't be worried about hurting his feelings. If you are certain that you do not love him anymore you have to tell him in all honesty so you can both go on with your life.

(1) Imagining the fun you can have by humping the old man one last time (this is why you are taking his call) to see if its "still there"
(2) Then there is the how do I rub his nose in this and still keep him on the hook type fun you are having.
(3) THen you got the new boyfriend that is just totally blind to whats going on fun.
Poor Little you with no courage and not wanting to "hurt anyone feelings"

You are obviously still friends with him if you still talk to him so I would think you could just tell him and he would be happy for you. But I guess not since youre asking for help, so maybe he still has feelings for you or something. If thats the case I think you should just gently explain to him that you have moved on and want him to do the same. Make yourself clear and dont lead him on in any way, but be nice about it. It will probably hurt his feelings regardless of how gently you let him down but dont let it get to you. HE HAS TO BE TOLD. He is an ex for a reason, right? This is going to be hard on you but once its over you will feel better. He will eventually get over it and understand.This is a sucky position to be in and I feel for you.Good luck hun!!! :-)

seems like ur a nice person at heart..do u still love him? if yes then i'm sorry for u for bein in this mess...cuz u seem to be unable to hurt both of them...all i'd say is explain to him lovingly, tell him u've moved on, and ask him to let u go..tell him that u want to see his mature side handling this seperation. and tell him that if all else fails then it'll break YOUR heart to get ur number and whereabouts changed...n tell him u dont wanna do that explicitly cuz u care.

I totally agree with Mean Carleen, he is just that your ex. So if there are some unresolved feelings maybe you shouldn't have a new boyfriend just yet. So just tell him or break it off with your current boyfriend....

just ignore hima nd then send hima tex saying youve met someone else and you think itd be better if you guys didnt talk anymore and leave it at that. Im the same way I cannot tella person something i have to write it or type it or whatever i have to do to avoid using my voice.

Girl you need to let him know before your new bf finds out. If your new bf picks up your phone... it's only going to get worse from there and you might end up losing both of them.
