Is it bad to do 45 minutes to an hour of cardio ervery day? I don't see why everything says to do 3-5 days of cardio. I know your body needs rest but if you can handle that much wouldn't it speed of the process of toning your body?

not really. As long as you and your body can handle it. However, at anytime if your body is exhibiting signs of serious fatigue or muscle pains, you best give it a rest.

Also, with this kind of exercise everyday you best be getting the appropriate amount of proteins in your daily diet. Without those you will be in trouble.

actually you will eventually have a plateau effect and your metabolisim may lag if you do not give yourself a few days of rest in between cardio days. Your body will go into a mini starvation mode and store all of your food as high energy fat. 3-5 is best for weight loss.
