Atkins did not die young of heart disease, he died at the age of 72 of complications resulting from slipping on ice and hitting his head on the sidewalk.
If you're still working full time and walking to work at 72, I bet you'll be in pretty good health.

Atkins is bad for you! You gain the weight back and it sends your body into shock, if continued over long periods of time you can get gout (uric acid in your blood stream) and screw up your liver.
Don't be a diet junkie! The first three letters of the word aren't DIE for nothing you know.
The best way to lose weight is slowly so that your body can process all of the fat on its own terms. Your liver is the only one you're ever going to have... Why age it 10 times faster than it should be with fad diets and stupidity trying to undo in 1 month what it took you years to put on?
Carbs are good for you! Your brain needs sugar to think properly which is probably why atkins actually sounds like a good idea to the bone heads that do it!
The best way to process carbs is to never eat too much of them against any portion of protein. Don't mix them at all if you can help it.

I lost about 17 pounds since June 15! Since its so hot outside I'm doing all vegetables until dinner,and then meat and salad.I did this about 2 years ago,then I took a new job last year and let it slide.Now I'm back to it and I reccomend it.No fries for me,thanks.

Girl!!!! The guy who developed Atkins died young because of Coronary Disease, meaning too much build up in his pipes from all the fatty meats and improper diet. DON'T Do it!
