Running 3 times a week 30-60 minutes at a time will help improve your stamina and also do hold stretching meaning you stretch then hold for like 10 sec it hurt like heck at first but once you get use to it it doubles your stretch work out. good luck

For golf, they recommend you working out for 1 hour a day at least 3 times a week. The soccer itself is not the exercise you aim at. That's the game and sport. To get the stamina, you need to work out with cardio (bicycle, elliptical machine, jogging, etc.) and muscle building on the side. Also, you need the proper diet through lean meat, fruits, and vegetables. Finally, my martial arts instructor told us that one needs to stretch 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening, then just do a quick 10 minute warm up before a physical activity. If not practical, do 15 minute before a workout and 15 minute afterwards.
I think soccer itself is a very strenuous activity and takes a lot out of you. Good for you for doing it.

If you jog or run, that is a good start for improving stamina. Stretching should always include some toe-touching excercises, bends and twists. Keep this up for about 15 minutes before playing any soccer. You will be amazed what a difference it will make. Take care, my friend!

As a massage therapist, I know you will start to see results and get better performance if you stretch before & AFTER you exercise and games. As an extra, you might want to start off slow by running on the side and stretching more often then just at practice. The best time to stretch is in the morning right when you get out of bed, after showers/bath/hot tub/steam room (your muscles are warmed and relaxed which it will be easier to lengthen them). Ask a local massage therapist about Sports Massage, they can inform you of all the benifits and even give you helpful hints on taking care of your muscles for better performance and stamina The professional sport pros have massage therapist working for them for a reason. Here is a web site you can look up a therapist near you. Even if you dont decide to turn to sports massage at least they can give you helpful hints and educate you. Good Luck

run and stretch every day. pretty simple really.
start out running just 10 minutes at a slow pace with a 5-10 stretching routine, and maybe work your way up to a half hour run with 10-15 minutes of stretching, depending how much time you have.
complementing running with occasional weightlifting can be quite useful too, depending how serious you are. good nutrition is also useful. another great thing for flexibility is to take yoga, if you have the temperment in that sort of thing.
but the running and stretching would be quite sufficient if you don't want to totally restructure your life, and would make you a whole lot healthier just by themselves. Good luck!
