I could give u a thousand and one colours
But I think the most important thing is too sit down with ur boyfriend and go Thur the different colours together
and come to an agreement.

I know u have alot of answers too this question so pick some colours and I hope u come too a nice agreement.

I wish u all the best as u get married soon
I pray that u will find happiness, joy and fulfilment as u get married

Do you really blame your b/f for not wanting to wear a pink tie or cravat - ugh ! I wore a black & gold lace wedding dress, it was superb and looked especially good with dark red roses. Be a little more original in your ideas, white, cream or blush pink are so dated. Why does everything have to have a theme and be matching ? Remember the bride should stand out not simply merge with the other guests ! Ask yourself do you really want to look like 99 per cent of other brides? If I were you I would have a major re-think on this.

Have your girls wear the blush pink and put the guys in something more neutral, like a golden yellow or green. This way you can do pink roses/flowers with yellow carnations/daisies, or just roses, and they won't clash with the flowers.

If you have a white dress, stay as far away from cream/ivory as possible- in pictures, it will make their clothing look dingy. If the wedding dress is ivory, you can get away with it. It also works in reverse- do not allow the groomsmen to wear white if your dress is ivory. It will make your dress look filthy.

Below are some of my own personal suggestions I used to find my color combinations, along side which color my wedding dress should be at the time of the season.

Spring:

Pastels - yellows mint greens purples misty/light blues (Ivory wedding dress)

Summer:

Bright/neons - chartreuse, fuchsia, neon blue, neon orange (white wedding dress)

Fall:

Earth tones/darker tones - browns, golds, reds, yellows (Ivory wedding dress)

Winter:

Keep from pastels and bright colors- burgundies, navy blues, silvers darkest tones (white wedding dress)

The colours I like for a wedding are like a butter cream yellow, or baby blue.

Blush pink is nice, and it compliments most people's skin tones more so than a yellow, but you have to consider the groom's preferences too....as much as we all know that weddings are a way HUGER deal to the bride.

Even like a light pastel green is nice, you have to consider the season your wedding is in too.

He doesn't have to wear any pink. He can have a black tie etc. This is not the prom, it is your wedding. Have you ever noticed that the little people on top of the cake are generally in a white/off white dress and the guy had a black tie etc.?

I just got married and had cream with light blue, as blue is my favourite colour. My hubbie likes blue too so i was lucky!!

How about having cream with pink and another colour, such as gold - if you're having bridesmaids they could wear the same style dresses but different colours, your accent colour could be pink and your husbands could be gold, your flowers could be cream and pink with gold ribbons, etc.

Whatever you do it needs to work for both of you. Have a wonderful day and fun planning.

He could go for a metallic colour instead, silver or gold, but you are dead right about the cream, nothing goes better with pink, especially for a wedding. Congratulations on your big day, I hope everything works out perfectly.

Well tell your hubby to be, pink is the new black. Pink is in. I had a blue and silver wedding. I really liked that but must say was not keen on it when my hubby said he wanted that. Sit down and discusse colours you both like and would like to have on your wedding day as its also his dad. I must say us women for get about our other half when it comes to the wedding day. We think its our day and only our day but they enjoy it just as much as us. Im sure you two will agree on a colour that you both like, dont forget pink is IN.

I used white and light purple, like a lavender. In the flower arrangements the purples differed in shades. It was very beautiful, and everybody loved the colors. Guys seem to be more accepting of purple than pink.
